What is the Monaco Yacht Show?
The Monaco Yacht Show is the most prestigious superyacht event in the world, and the season’s grand finale after Cannes. Every September the whole of Port Hercule is given over to around 120 superyachts, many of them world premieres, moored in the water in real viewing conditions rather than on stands.
It is smaller and far more exclusive than Cannes: fewer boats, but the biggest of the big, plus roughly sixty luxury tenders and the brands that dress them. It is a professional show at heart, tickets and yacht visits are tightly managed, but for anyone who loves boats, standing on the quay of Monte Carlo surrounded by the world’s finest yachts is a bucket-list day.
2026 dates & opening hours
The 2026 edition runs Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 September at Port Hercule. Note that Wednesday is reserved for invitation-only and premium passholders; general admission tickets are valid from Thursday.

How to visit: tickets & access
- Tickets are online only, bought in advance. There are no sales at the door, and the show sells out, so book early.
- Wednesday is invitation-only; general tickets work from Thursday onward.
- Boarding a yacht is by appointment and at the owner’s discretion, it is not automatic with a ticket.
- Dress smart, this is Monaco and the show has a polished dress code.
- Port Hercule is compact but very busy; go early in the day for room to move.
Seeing the show from the water
Here is the move most visitors miss. During show week the waters off Monaco fill with anchored yachts, and the view of Port Hercule from the sea is unmatched. From your own boat you cruise past the superyacht fleet, take in the Monte Carlo skyline, drop anchor for a swim, and skip the crush on the quays entirely.
A private boat with a skipper is also the calmest way to arrive: no Monaco parking, no traffic on the Basse Corniche. Whether it’s a sunset cruise for two or a full day for a group, we handle the boat, the skipper and the timing so you just step aboard.

Getting there from Nice
Monaco is about 20–30 minutes from Nice, and the train is the easiest way in during show week: it runs frequently and the Monaco-Monte-Carlo station is a short walk from Port Hercule, with none of the parking nightmare. Driving in means the busy Basse Corniche and very limited, pricey parking. Coming from Nice for the day? A private boat transfer is the most memorable arrival of all.
Good to know before you go
- Buy your ticket online well ahead, the show is popular and there are no door sales.
- Skip Wednesday unless you have an invitation or premium pass.
- Go Thursday morning for the calmest walk around the quays.
- Dress smart and wear comfortable flat shoes for the pontoons.
- Book restaurants and boats early, all of Monaco is full that week.
